K&K Windows at the All-Ireland Business Foundation South-East Entrepreneurs Meet-Up

At K&K Windows, we pride ourselves not only on delivering top-quality windows and doors but also on being deeply involved in Ireland’s thriving business community. This past Friday, we had the privilege of participating in the All-Ireland Business Foundation’s South-East Entrepreneurs Meet-Up in Gorey, a day filled with inspiring discussions, networking, and shared insights on entrepreneurship.

One of the highlights for us was having Sorcha Kenny, our very own Director at K&K Windows, featured on the esteemed “Women in Business” panel. It was a moment of immense pride to see Sorcha alongside other accomplished business leaders such as Aisling Whelan of F&M Whelan Steel Engineering, Gail Bovenizer of Complete Harmony, and Tracy Leogue of Oliver Conroy Pallets & Flamers. The panel offered invaluable perspectives on navigating challenges in business, adapting to change, and seizing new opportunities—topics that resonate strongly with our journey at K&K Windows.

The day was packed with standout moments, from the opening remarks to the in-depth panel discussions. One of the most riveting sessions was a fireside chat with Matthew O’Hanlon, a key figure in Wexford hurling, who shared his experience on “Leading On & Off the Pitch.” Matthew’s insights on building resilience, the importance of performance analysis (which mirrors the KPIs we focus on in business), and fostering a winning mindset were particularly inspiring. His experience with team development at the Gaelic Players Association was a great parallel to what we aim to achieve at K&K Windows—creating a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Another significant highlight was the “Spirit of Entrepreneurship” panel, where notable business leaders like Helen Gee of G’s Gourmet Jams, Tom Galway of CardFox Payment Consultants & Brokers, Mary Power of Media 365, and Dave Doyle of 123-3D.ie shared their expertise. Their discussion on business growth, innovation, and embracing change was packed with actionable advice that any SME could benefit from.

For us at K&K Windows, community and peer learning are essential. It’s always encouraging to hear how other businesses overcome obstacles, stay resilient, and thrive. This event was the perfect example of why gatherings like these are so important for the entrepreneurial community in Ireland.

The day was also a testament to the power of networking and collaboration. From breakfast discussions led by Dr. Briga Hynes, Kieran Ring, and Teresa Lewis on the internationalisation of SMEs to Ruth Gallagher’s energizing body and voice stretch session, there was something for everyone. These sessions not only engaged the audience but also pushed us to step out of our comfort zones, just as we do when pursuing new growth opportunities.

The event wasn’t just about business either—it included key moments focused on well-being. Financial experts such as David Devine, Aoife Caulfield, Philip Cullen, and Paraic O’Mahony provided us with valuable guidance on maintaining financial health, an often-overlooked aspect of running a business. At K&K Windows, we know that maintaining a balanced financial strategy is essential for long-term success, and hearing from these experts was a timely reminder.

We would also like to extend our congratulations to Philip Cullen of Southeast Mortgages & Financial Services for receiving the prestigious Presidential Medal from AIBF President Margaret Considine, and to Alan Dawson of Sheds Direct Ireland on his impressive six-in-a-row Business All-Star award. Their achievements highlight the importance of perseverance, customer focus, and innovation—all principles we hold dear at K&K Windows.

We were thrilled to be a part of such an inspiring event and are already looking forward to the next All-Ireland Business Foundation gathering in Galway on November 1st. Huge thanks go out to Kapil Khanna, Jennifer Kiely, Cóilín Duffy, Kelly Justin, and the entire AIBF team for organising such a fantastic event. At K&K Windows, we believe in the power of entrepreneurship, collaboration, and continuous learning, and this event truly exceeded our expectations.

Here’s to many more opportunities to learn, grow, and innovate within the thriving Irish business community!

After 2,500+ hours of planning (yes, really!), our 11th All-Ireland Entrepreneurs Summit has come to a close. And every bit of it was for one reason, YOU!

At AIBF, our mission is simple: to champion Ireland’s business leaders, to bring you all together, and to support your next level growth. That’s what drives every session, every speaker, and every detail.
We welcomed over 500 brilliant people to Croke Park and the energy, ideas, and good craic in the room reminded us why we do what we do.
Heartfelt gratitude for making this possible. Thank YOU for showing up, and for making the day so special :)
